§ Mr. Teddy Taylorasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in view of the burdens placed on home owners as a result of the stamp duty charged on house sales on property over £15,000 and the variations in house prices throughout the United Kingdom, he will take steps to increase the exemption limit to take account of inflation and to consider alterations in the basis of assessing the duty.
