§ Mr. Steenasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether a student from Hong Kong who becomes eligible for a mandatory student's grant, and receives a grant for the first year of a three-year degree, and is then ordered to return to Hong Kong, can apply for second and third year instalment if he is then permitted to remain, notwithstanding a break in his period of study.
