§ Mr. Orbachasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if, further to the letter which she has received from the National Association of Schoolmasters, Stockport branch, she is in a position to supply the precise amount of rate support grant which has been allocated to the Stockport Metropolitan Council for education.
§ Mr. OakesNo. The rate support grant is not earmarked for particular local government services. It is a block grant given in aid of local government expenditure as a whole.
