§ Mr. William RodgersIn 1976–77, expenditure on road construction in England was about £49 million below the provision in Cmnd. 6721. For 1977–78, provision in Cmnd. 7049 has been reduced by about £28 million below that in Cmnd. 6721. Underspending has not in itself delayed any schemes in the Northern Region.
