§ Mr. KaufmanIt is the Government's policy to maintain the maximum shipbuilding capacity compatible with the order situation. The proposal to establish a committee is but one aspect of the Commission's proposals for a Community policy for the shipbuilding industry which are still under discussion. The question of appointing a United Kingdom representative does not therefore yet arise.
