HC Deb 21 February 1978 vol 944 c572W
Mr. Welsh

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) how many evictions and warrant sales have occurred in each year over the past five years; and how many cases there have been of rent arrears outstanding in the cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee in that period;

(2) how many local authority arrestments of wages or social security payments in Scotland there have been in each of the past five years.

Mr. Hugh D. Brown

It is the management responsibility of local authorities to take measures to deal with rent arrears. Information on arrears and ways of dealing with them is not collected centrally.
