During the morning my noble Friend held meetings with his officials and worked on papers. After lunching with BBC officials he attended the concert given by the BBC Symphony Orchestra at St. John's, Smith Square. In the afternoon he held a meeting with the Federation of British Artists. In the evening he attended the preview of "The Cherry Orchard" at the National Theatre.
