§ Mr. RowlandsField Marshal Lord Carver is Resident Commissioner (Designate) for Southern Rhodesia. His duties include planning for a cease fire, the future of the armed forces and all aspects of the transition period as envisaged in the Anglo-American proposals. To this end he has been holding discussions with the parties concerned.
