asked the Secretary of State for Trade what numbers of United Kingdom cars were exported to Japan in 1975, 1976 and 1977; and what is the estimated number for 1978.

United Kingdom exports of passenger motor cars to Japan are published under SITC(R) heading 732.1 in Table VI of theOverseas Trade Statistics of the United Kingdom—the December issue for the years 1975 and 1977 and the annual edition for 1976—copies of which are available in the House of Commons Library. I cannot make an estimate for 1978.
