HC Deb 20 February 1978 vol 944 c531W
Mr. Rost

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many are currently employed under the job creation scheme on the thermal insulation of buildings: and what guidance he is giving for the extension of this work.

Mr. Golding

I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that the precise number of persons currently employed on job creation programme projects involving thermal insulation of buildings is not available. To date, however, a total of 1,426 jobs have been approved on such work.

Thermal insulation projects will continue to be considered under the special temporary employment programme, which will replace the job creation programme during 1978.
