immigrants in the London borough of Newham has increased from 28,000 to a figure between 42,000 and 46,000, and that this is causing problems with regard to overcrowding, and other housing problems, what action he has taken, or will take, to resolve these problems.
§ Mr. ArmstrongThe allocations made to the London borough of Newham for housing investment in 1978–79 take account of the overall needs of the borough as expressed in the housing investment strategy and programme which the council submitted to the Department.
