§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Energy what is the Government's policy on the parity pricing of fuels in the domestic market; and what was his response to the argument recently debated by the Energy Commission.
§ Mr. BennParity pricing was one of several approaches to energy pricing considered at the second meeting of the Energy Commission on 13th February, and we agreed that our discussions should be resumed at a subsequent meeting. The Government's current view, however, is that energy prices should continue to reflect the differing costs of each fuel.
