§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he will make a statement on the additional cost of £17,000 which was paid on the contract for the Christian Brothers' School, Glen Road, Belfast, according to the Appropriation Accounts for 1976–77 because of the school's location.
§ Mr. CarterA re-examination of the papers relating to this project has shown that the explanation in the 1976–77 Appropriation Accounts is incorrect.
Initial approval of the cost of the project was given in December 1963 but factors arising from the design of the building—rather than from its location—led to acceptance of a higher tender in April 1965.
