§ Mr. Lawsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what has been the total number of Department of Health and Social Security staff employed in connection with the disbursement of supplementary benefit, or national assistance as the case may be, for each year since 1945; what has been the total number of recipients of supplementary benefit, or national assistance as the case may be in each of those years; and what was the corresponding number of staff per 10,000 beneficiaries.
