§ Mr. Speedasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will give the latest estimate of the number of United Kingdom passport holders, including heads of households and dependants, in East African countries entitled to enter the United Kingdom under the special voucher entry scheme and the dates of the latest national censuses upon which this estimate is based.

The figures given have been estimated by our diplomatic missions in the countries concerned taking account of whatever information is locally available. Precise figures are not available because citizens of the United Kingdom and Colonies overseas are not obliged to register with our diplomatic missions.
