§ Mr. Onslowasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many members of the adult population are registered as partially blind; and what proportion of the total this represents.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisAt 31st March 1977 there were in England an estimated 42,800 adults registered as partially sighted. It is not known what proportion of all partially-sighted people this represents, but there is some evidence to suggest that the total number of partially-sighted people could be of the order of 250,000.
