§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection, in view of the fact that kippers are being retailed at £1 per pound of weight, whether he will have an investigation made to ascertain whether the charge is fair and reasonable and that no profiteering is being practised.
§ Mr. MaclennanI understand that the price quoted by my hon. Friend is significantly above the average. My right hon. Friend has at present no plans to direct the Price Commission to examine this matter.
