§ Mr. Terry Walkerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he is taking, and what advice he has given, to local authorities to combat the growing nuisance and damage caused by foxes in urban areas.
§ Mr. MarksLocal authorities have powers under Section 137 of the Local Government Act 1972 which enable them to take action if they feel that foxes are causing nuisance or damage in a particular area. I have no plans to issue advice to local authorities on how to deal with nuisance caused by foxes.
