On Ford's, I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to the hon. Member for Chingford (Mr. Tebbit) on 13th February—[Vol. 944, c. 60]. As the White Paper "The Attack on Inflation after 31st July", Cmnd. 6882, made clear, the Government will do everything possible to ensure that full account is taken of the pay guidelines throughout the public sector. This will include embodying the new clauses concerned with the Government's pay guidelines in Government contracts with nationalised industries.
