§ 30. Mr. John H. Osbornasked the Minister of Overseas Development what discussions she has had with the World Bank, institutions of the EEC, and the EEC Commission about economic aid to the Falkland Islands; and if she will list specific projects that have been considered indicating whether these yet include improving Port Stanley for international fishing, oil exploration and extraction, and the provision of an international airport, as well as projects that have been rejected, and including payments made to date.
§ Mr. TomlinsonI have not had discussions on this issue with the World Bank, from which the Falkland Islands as a dependency would not normally be eligible for assistance, nor as yet with any of the EEC institutions.
