to vary the consent given to the South of Scotland Electricity Board to build a nuclear power station at Torness in such a way that a further public inquiry would not be held into the suitability of the site for the advanced gas-cooled reactor now proposed.
§ Mr. MillanI have had a request from the South of Scotland Electricity Board for a consent for the Torness site appropriate to the advanced gas-cooled reactor system which I am considering in the light of representations received since the Government announced their decision on thermal reactor choice on 25th January.
