§ Mr. OakesIt is not possible to distinguish a separate cost for a place occupied by a student from overseas. However, in 1976–77 the gross average institutional recurrent cost in respect of all students attending establishments of higher and further education was:

They are overall average costs which represent a wide range attributable to differences between the individual establishments, their location, the various subjects of study, and the level of course.
