§ Mr. OakesA certain amount of residential provision has been included in the university and further education building programmes for 1976–77 and 1977–78, and it is expected that there will be further provision in 1978–79. Residential projects have to compete with those for teaching and other types of accommodation for a share of the limited resources available. The standard of institution-provided residence is being maintained.
