§ Dr. Phippsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he expects to receive the results of any seismic surveys being carried out in the waters surrounding the Falkland Islands.
§ Mr. LuardThe two seismic surveys at present taking place on the Falkland Islands Continental Shelf will be completed shortly. Analysis and evaluation of the data obtained from the surveys will take several months. I expect the full results to be available by about the middle of the year.
§ Mr. Thorpeasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement following the Minister of State's talks with the Argentine Government about the Falkland Islands.

Gentleman to the texts of the communiqués issued at the end of the second round of negotiations held in New York, and by the Falkland Islands Councils following the Minister of State's meeting with them in Rio de Janeiro, both of which have been placed in the Library.
