§ Dr. GilbertThe information requested is not readily available and could not be obtained without disproportionate effort. For the most part, the allowances set out in the answer given to the hon. Member on 25th January are paid to compensate for or assist towards expenses incurred by personnel. The rates payable are reviewed from time to time to ensure they meet their objective.
