§ Mr. Lawrenceasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will raise in the United Nations Commission on Human Rights the unexplained disappearance of large numbers of people in Argentina.
§ Mr. LuardWe have made the Argentine Government aware of our concern over violations of human rights. We reserve the right to mention any case of serious violation of human rights in the meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Commission now opening in Geneva, but we do not intend at present to table a formal item concerning the question of disappearance of people in Argentina at the United Nations Human Rights Commission.
