§ Mr. Fauldsasked the Minister of Overseas Development what sum she intends to give towards the costs of the medical programme of the South-West Africa People's Organisation of Namibia, in the light of the practice already established by the Governments of Sweden, Norway and Holland.
§ Mrs. HartWe do not provide assistance to liberation movements as such, but in addition to the help provided for welfare needs of refugees in Southern Africa, the Government are financing a programme for the education and training of Namibians living outside Namibia. Under this programme, 25 students nominated by the South-West African People's Organisation are currently receiving training in Britain. We have also contributed to the United Nations Fund for Namibia, the United Nations Institute for Namibia in Lusaka and the United Nations Education and Training Programme for Southern Africa, all of which are concerned with the training needs of Namibians.
