HC Deb 02 February 1978 vol 943 c284W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many prosecutions there have been, in each of the past five years, for offences involving dealing in salmon caught during the close season; and how many convictions have resulted.

Mr. Bishop

Prosecutions for any offences under the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975 are undertaken by water authorities or by the Fishmongers' Company, and no central statistics are maintained.
