asked the Minister of Overseas Development if she will make grants available to voluntary agencies working in Thailand to help and succour refugees from Cambodia, as suggested by the British Council of Churches and the Roman Catholic Justice and Peace Commission.

British official aid to refugees in Thailand is primarily directed through the agencies of the United Nations, but my Department would be very ready to consider requests for assistance from voluntary agencies working in Thailand to help refugees.
