§ 63. Mr. Albert Robertsasked the Secretary of State for Transport in view of the heavy amount of traffic using the road through the villages of Oulton, Woodlesford and Swillington, West Yorkshire, if he will expedite the construction of the link road east of Leeds between the M62 and the A1.

§ Mr. HoramInvestigations are now going on to select a route for the new road in the corridor east of Leeds. There is a great deal of work to be done, and it is unlikely that construction could begin before the early 1980s. Priority will be given to providing relief where it is most urgently needed.
