Mr. Kilfedder

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will list those public accounts in Northern Ireland which in the last financial year were not laid before Parliament but which had previously been laid before the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Mr. Pendry:

Northern Ireland public accounts which are required to be laid before the Northern Ireland Assembly but which are not now laid before Parliament are as follows:

  • Agricultural loans fund.
  • Capital accounts.
  • Civil contingencies fund.
  • Development Agency loans.

Mr. Maclennan:

The information is set out below. From movements in the intervening years it will be seen that the increases were concentrated in the first half of the period and reflected in part the phasing out of the deficits accumulated by a number of these industries.
