§ Mr. Giles Shawasked the Secretary of State for Trade, in view of the decisions of the Patent Library and the British Library to cease the deposit of EEC patent registrations in libraries outside London, if he will take action to ensure that this decision is reversed and this important facility restored.

No such decision has been taken. The European Patent Office began publication of patent applications on 20th December 1978, and arrangements for the supply of copies of member States have not yet been concluded.
