§ Mr. Moyle:Capital and revenue expenditure per head of population in the National Health Service in 1977–78 was as follows:
- (a) for the Northumberland Area Health Authority—£115.
- (b) for the Northern Regional Health Authority area—£110.
- (c) for the United Kingdom—£120.

The national figure is affected by the payment of London weighting allowance to some 460W beneficiaries, we have in mind the need to encourage developments which could lead to a better choice of adaptations to production cars, or specialised vehicles, becoming commercially available to disabled people generally.
