§ Mr. MacCormickasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list those public bodies which have responsibility for aspects of land use in Scotland.
Mr. Milan:Apart from Government Departments and local authorities, the principal public bodies with executive or advisory responsibilities relating to land use are:

- Forestry Commission
- Highlands and Islands Development Board
- Institute of Geological Sciences
- Institute of Terrestrial Ecology
- Lands Tribunal for Scotland
- Macaulay Institute for Soil Research (Soil Survey for Scotland)
- Nature Conservancy Council,
- Red Deer Commission
- Scottish Agricultural Colleges (Advisory Services)
- Scottish Development Agency
- Scottish Land Court
- Scottish Tourist Board
