HC Deb 15 December 1978 vol 960 c476W
Mr. Adam Hunter

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what action he has taken to maintain burn of coal at Kincardine power station.

Mr. Eadie:

Within the total of grants now agreed for the National Coal Board for this year the Government are prepared to provide up to £1.5 million in 1978–79 to enable the NCB to offer rebates to the SSEB to maintain burn of coal at Kincardine power station this winter. This is in addition to the £7 million, at 1977 survey prices, which the Government are already making available over five years to support sales of NCB coals to SSEB power stations.
