HC Deb 15 December 1978 vol 960 cc435-6W
Mr. Freud

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection, in view of the financial hardship imposed on the blind by the recent increases in the price of cane and willow, if he will refer to the Price Commission for investigation the market for this product; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Maclennan:

My right hon. Friend has no current plans to direct the Price Commission to examine the prices of these products, but he will bear the suggestion in mind. If the hon. Member has evidence of particular pricing problems in this field, I should be glad to consider it.
