§ Mr. Lawsonasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will publish a table to show the average level of unemployment (a) between June 1970 and February 1974 and (b) between March 1974 and the latest month for which figures are available.
§ Mr. GoldingThe average numbers registered as unemployed in Great Britain between (a) June 1970 and February 1974 and (b) March 1974 and November 1978 were 694,322 and 1,130,557, respectively.
The averages are derived from figures which have not been adjusted for seasonal variations.
