§ Mr. BishopIn 1978, the GATT quota for the levy-free import of 38,500 tonnes of frozen beef and veal was allocated between the member States of the EEC by Regulation (EEC) No. 2861/77 as follows:

§ Mr. Adam Butlerasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food which were the countries of origin, and the quantities in each case, of imports of levy-free frozen beef and veal which were allocated to the United Kingdom under GATT in 1978 ; and how much was actually imported from each of the countries in question during the last available 12 month period.
§ Mr. BishopImports of frozen beef and veal under the GATT quota are not restricted to particular countries of origin nor do United Kingdom overseas trade statistics identify such imports by country.
