§ Mr. Georgeasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will seek to amend regulation 14(1) of the NHS general ophthalmic services to enable visually handicapped children to be provided with more that one pair of spectacles per prescription where necessary.
§ Mr. Moyle:This regulation is not relevant. A child who in a consultant's view has a need for a spare pair of spectacles can get them through the hospital or school eye service.
