§ Mr. Tierneyasked the Secretary of State for Employment what representations he has received to make 1st May a public holiday rather than holding the May Day public holiday on the first Monday in May.
§ Mr. Harold Walker:I have received representations for the bank holiday to be taken on 1st May which I am considering, but at present I have no plans to make changes.
