Mr. Wm. Rossasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many applications he has received in the current financial year and in the same period in 1977–78 for payments made under the employment transfer scheme; how many applications were successful and how many refused; in each case, how many payments and refusals were in respect of school leavers or others starting their first job; what were the reasons for refusals; and how many refusals were for late application.
