§ Mr. Maddenasked the Secretary of State for Employment what plans he has for the expansion of community industry.
§ Mr. Golding:The scale of community industry is being considered by the Man- 186W power Services Commission and the Government along with special employment measures, and an announcement will be made in due course. However, as an interim measure the Government and the Manpower Services Commission have agreed to raise the ceiling on CI places from 5,500 to 6,500. The management board for CI will be invited to recommend the allocation of the places to particular areas.
