(2) if he will make a statement about the impact on the social services of the rate support grant settlement for 1979–80.
§ Mr. Moyle:I would refer my hon. Friend to the report on the Rate Support Grant Order 1978 which my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for the Environment and for Transport laid before the House on 29th November 1978. Paragraphs 12 and 19–21 are particularly relevant. No change has been made in the amount planned to be available for joint finance; decisions about its use are made jointly by health and local authorities in the light of local circumstances.
