HC Deb 12 December 1978 vol 960 cc163-4W
Mr. Bradford

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will provide a nursery school in the Dunmurry area where an immediate need exists for this facility.

Mr. Carter,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 11th December 1978], gave the following information:

The provision of nursery education places, while subject to approval of the Department of Education for Northern Ireland, is primarily a matter for the school authorities concerned.

The Department has approved a proposal by the South-Eastern Education and Library Board to provide nursery facilities in the Dunmurry area.
