§ Mr. Lawsonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government that the exchange rate should not fluctuate by more than 2.25 per cent. around its central rate; whether any undertakings were given on this and related matters at the recent Brussels summit; and, if so, whether he will indicate what those undertakings are.
