§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Trade if, in the light of the EEC code of conduct for European firms operating in South Africa, he will ask the managing director of Ever Ready to update the information submitted to his 37W Department in 1976 relating to the pay and conditions of work of the company's employees in South Africa.
§ Mr. John Smith:The BEREC Group Limited—formerly Ever Ready Company (Holdings) Ltd.—submitted a report in 1977 in respect of the now superseded United Kingdom code of practice. A similar report was made earlier this year and the company has undertaken to publish future reports in accordance with the code of conduct of the Nine.
