Dr. Hampson

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will list for each university the numbers of students studying part-time, other than at first-degree level; and what proportion they form of the entire student body.

Mr. Oakes:

The attached table shows, for each university in Great Britain including the Open University, numbers of part-time sudents— other than those following first degree courses— in the academic year 1977–78. These figures exclude students on short, post-experience courses.
