§ Mr. Raisonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what guidance he plans to offer to the appropriate health authority concerning any dismissals to implement the report on Normansfield hospital, in the light of current employment protection legislation.
§ Mr. Deakins:It is now for the employing health authorities to consider the report and in particular the recommend- 162W ations affecting staff. Disciplinary action would be in accordance with agreed Whitley Council procedures and the terms of service of the staff involved.
