HC Deb 08 December 1978 vol 959 c185W
Mr. Faulds

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether she has yet been able to solve the problems of manpower and finance which have been preventing the development of a proposal for the establishment, apart from the collections of photographic material and apparatus held by individual museums, of a national photographic museum with its own archives and historic apparatus in a specifically designated building.

Mr. Oakes:

These and other problems are still being considered, but I am not yet able to tell my hon. Friend whether it is likely to be possible to overcome them.
