Whether they will publish the proportion of total income tax paid by single persons, married couples, married couples with one child, married couples with two children, married couples with three or more children, in 1950, 1955, 1960, 1965 and each year since 1970.

The proportions are derived from the Inland Revenue's survey of Personal Incomes. They relate to the amount of 1955. Information for the later years is as follows:

tax payable for the year, not to the amount paid in the year, and include surtax for the years up to and including 1972–73.
